How to submit a blog or website on Google Search Console Tool

Submitting a blog or website to the major search engine like Google webmaster tools means you are ten steps ahead to improving your search appearance on the search engine result page. We are helping our blog or website indirectly to get crawl and indexed well in the leading search engine. The leading search engine Google webmaster tools or Google search console allow us to submit an XML sitemap to crawl better and index our blog and sitemap. But before submitting an XML sitemap, we need to add our blog or website to these webmaster tools.



How to submit a blog or website on Google Search Console Tool

In this article, we shall learn how to add or submit our blog or website to Google webmaster tools or Google search console tool and how to verify our blog or website ownership. We will use three easiest methods to check our blog ownership. Later we shall learn how to submit an XML sitemap to these webmaster tools.

Basic Requirement to provide a blog or website to Google webmaster tools


          1. A blog
          2. Google Webmaster Tools Account.
          3. Access to your Blog HTML (For ownership verification)
          4. Google Analytics Account. (For ownership verification)
          5. Access to your DNS management console. (For ownership verification)

Assuming you all have a well-designed blog moving forward to the next step Google webmaster tools account. We need a Google account to sign into the Google search console account formerly known as Google webmaster tools.



We are aware how easy of creating an Account on Google. Sign into Google search console account using your Google account username and password.

          1. Clicks on the "Add A Property" red button to add your blog or website URL.
          2. Type your blog or website URL in the box. As I have typed http://www.digitaldoubt.com
          3. Clicks on Add to add your blog or website to Google search console.

Note: Provide an appropriate URL to Google webmaster tool otherwise you will not able to verify your blog or website ownership. If your domain name continues on HTTPS cersion URL then provide HTTPS URL. A domain name URL with HTTPS and HTTP are not the same, as well as determine which version of custom domain name you are willing to use that is www version or non-www version then provide the URL to the Google search console.

After clicks on "ADD" button, you will redirected to the ownership verification page. There you will get five different ownership verification method. You need to verify ownership for your blog or website using any one method of five methods. Although it's good to check ownership of your property using more than one method according to Google search console.



Available blog or website ownership verification methods


          1. Verify uploading an HTML file to the root of your Website.
          2. Adding an HTML tag in the head section of a blog
          3. Adding a CNAME record to the DNS
          4. Verify using your Google Analytics account.
          5. Verify using your Google tag manager account.

          1. Blogger dashboard
          2. Click on the Template from the left side menu
          3. Click on the EditHTML tab
          4. Add the HTML meta tag in the head section of Blog HTML
          5. Click on Save HTML to save the template. 

Website owners can insert the HTML meta tag of their property into their website HTML file to verify their website ownership.



Back to Google search console and clicks on "Verify" to complete the property verification.
